4. Condition of Bicycles

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about their bicycle and any known faults, previous repairs, modifications or damage.

Bicycles may have existing damage, corrosion, wear, fatigue or deterioration that is not immediately visible.

Asgard Bikes will take reasonable care when handling bicycles and carrying out repairs. However, components that are already damaged, excessively worn, corroded or weakened may fail during or following repair or normal use.

Where we identify a significant safety concern, we may advise that a bicycle or component should not be ridden until appropriate repairs have been completed.

We reserve the right to decline work where, in our reasonable opinion, carrying out the requested work would create an unacceptable safety risk or where the condition of the bicycle prevents the work from being carried out appropriately.

5. Parts and Components

Where replacement parts are required, we may use genuine, manufacturer-approved, aftermarket or compatible components depending on availability, suitability and the customer’s requirements.

Where a customer supplies their own parts, Asgard Bikes cannot guarantee the suitability, compatibility, quality or condition of those parts.

If a customer-supplied component is defective, incompatible or fails, any additional labour required as a result may be chargeable where permitted by law and agreed with the customer.

Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights that apply to consumers.

6. Estimates and Additional Work

Any quotation or estimate provided before inspection is based on the information available to us at that time.

An estimate is not necessarily a fixed price unless expressly stated to be a fixed quotation.

7. Collection of Bicycles

Customers are responsible for collecting bicycles when notified that work has been completed.

Where a bicycle remains uncollected for an extended period, we may contact the customer to arrange collection.

Reasonable storage arrangements will be discussed with the customer where a bicycle remains uncollected.

We will not dispose of or otherwise deal with an uncollected bicycle without taking reasonable steps to contact the owner and allowing an appropriate opportunity for collection, subject to our legal rights.

8. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due when the agreed work has been completed and the bicycle is ready for collection.

Asgard Bikes currently accepts payment by physical/in-person payment methods.

Online payment is not currently available through the website.

Prices quoted by Asgard Bikes are stated in pounds sterling (£) unless otherwise specified.

Where applicable, VAT treatment will be reflected in the price provided to the customer.

9. Cancellations and Appointments

Where an appointment or booking is made, customers should provide as much notice as reasonably possible if they need to cancel or rearrange.

Any cancellation charges will be communicated to the customer before they become applicable and will be reasonable in the circumstances.

Customers are responsible for using their bicycle appropriately and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable road safety requirements.

A repair or service does not guarantee that a bicycle will remain free from future faults, component failure or wear.

Customers should carry out appropriate checks before riding, particularly following significant repairs, modifications or the replacement of safety-critical components.

Where Asgard Bikes identifies a safety-critical issue, we may advise that the bicycle should not be ridden until the issue has been addressed.

13. Website Availability
